I'm on a nostalgic trip..to Bijapur,.12 years ago as eager students , we went on a field trip and one of the assignments was in photography ...we were asked to look for unusual, interesting angles and frames and shoot some b & w pics as well ...The pictures are amaterish and even evoke a laugh as I wonder what I was experimenting...Ive preserved the look as it is even while scanning as they were old prints .

The fifth picture from the top is a lovely composition.

Gol Gumbuz. Did you capture the cannon outside the Gumbuz? It's a large one.

Wonderful light and shadow work. Mughal architecture was unique, was it not? I loved the ones in Delhi a lot too!

Thanks Gopal and Smita - I agree that Mughal architecture has always been one of the best ...There is so many different styles of architecture and its a pity that we dont even bother to preserve the heritage.some of the indian forts are out of this world- must see murud janjeera

1,5,6,7 are wonderful, very well captured. Excellent work. But I agree with your teacher about the rest pics.

I really like the photo looking through the tunnel and the one looking down.. I prefer atmosphere as opposed to posed shots... Your teacher must have grown used to seeing such amazing architecture and sights - I think they are beautiful.. you can feel the essence of the place :)

Pijush -thanks ..I completely agree with my teacher ..but the whole experience was fun especially when you look back more than a decade ago
tanya-thanks a ton . I like the picture too..besides memories, there is somethg raw abt the picture . I like candid shots ..they seem more real; but this was more of "an exam" and i remember we were even given marks
